I believe I met Carl in first grade? It was definitely Brookwater elementary. When we were probably fourth/fifth /sixth grade a bunch of us girls always used to ride our bikes down to Carl's house and meet him under the Fenwick St.bridge! He was so cute and nice that we all wanted to hang out with him... from what I have seen and heard and my friendship with Kyle on Facebook and they're beautiful and funny pictures and cartoon cartoons he made of me and my husband and our friends on our birthdays anniversaries... Carl was still a keeper & Sweetheart! Rest in peace, Carl. You will be thought of often & your pictures and graphics will always remind us of you❤️

t’s been a heavy season of loss — the kind that reminds us how intertwined our lives have been with the people we grew up beside. Losing classmates feels different from other losses. They’re woven into our earliest stories, our shared jokes, our awkward phases, our triumphs. When they leave this world, it’s as if whole chapters of our own lives dim a little.

Carl’s passing especially feels like that kind of blow. He was one of those rare souls who moved quietly through the world, doing good without needing credit, lifting spirits without needing applause. A man who made kindness look effortless. Maybe that’s why there’s no obituary — because a few paragraphs could never hold the reach of his generosity. He touched too many lives for any single tribute to contain him.

And now, with him gone, there’s another void. It’s a one‑two punch, and I'm trying to understand how the world keeps spinning when such good people are no longer in it. But the truth is, people like Carl leave echoes. They become part of the way we remember him and part of the way we carry him forward.
